Life as a bubble
La monde de l'art is an auditory response to social compartmentalization and divergence. By engaging people through interview, conversation and chatroom dialogue both inside and outside of the protection of our own art 'bubble' we examine the boundaries and inter-relations of social 'bubbles' through first hand experience. This project opens with an observation of the relationship between the world of art and the public through the collection of public responses to current art practice and the speculation of its future. In subsequent programs the use of language and verbal communication is examined as both an inhibitor and activator of social interaction. Bublization is the dissection of the global community into smaller culture bubbles concluding with the essential bubble- the individual. -Beate Engl
